No worries....

Okay, so I know that I have not posted in over two months....no worries. I'm fine. There has been a lot going on in my life now, not a lot of fun stuff, but things are looking up, finally. For one, I took a writing class this semester that just kicked my ass. It was a lot of work, all the time. So, along with all my other trials and tribulations, I am a bit behind in my blog. Please accept my apologies. Now the holidays are here, and I just can seem to get excited. Normally I would be itching to put my tree up and get things moving, but I'm just not motivated to do it. I've gotta get out of my slump and get my groove on. Keith--since I don't have an e-mail for you, I'll just tell ya on here...I would love to see you and your family at Christmas this year. When will you all be getting together? Whenever it is, I will be there....I can't break tradition now, especially now....

So, here are some random pics from the last couple months...enjoy....

Ya gotta admit...I'm getting better.....

Alright, for you five people that read my blog, I'm getting better, right? I mean it's only been two weeks since my last post.....Anyway, I started taking this internet writing course and it's kickin my ass already! There is sooo much freaking work to do, it's insane! I'm kinda sick, because I like writing, but it's way more than I ever anticipated! My husband, Jason, and I just went to his 15 year high school reunion over the weekend. I wasn't really looking forward to it, ya know...hi, i'm jason's wife, i'm a dental hygienist, we have one son, blah, blah, blah......it was actually pretty fun. I got to hang out with some really cool chicks, and we drank and danced...doesn't get better than that. So, here are some pictures from that event--we're all fancied up. In a week, i will be turning the big 3-0...seriously, 30, where in the hell has the time gone? I still feel like I'm about 20. I'm really sad that Julie and I won't be celebrating our birthday together, but I know she'll be having a party in heaven--lucky bastards up there! My husband and my friends are throwing a party for me this weekend, so I will try to post pics from that in the next couple weeks. So, till then......

Ashton's 3rd Birthday

Ok, so it's been more than a week since my last post. I'm gonna quit making promises I can't keep. I started my online class that I am taking this semester, expository writing. It's a hella lotta work, and I am a MAJOR procrastinator. However, I can't be with this one. In the mean time, Ashton just had this 3rd birthday and we threw a huge Incredible Hulk Birthday party for him. We had 40 people here! It was insanity, but so much fun. The kids did tie-dye shirts and we had Ashton's Incredible Hulk Candy Shop. I spent the last month scouring Fort Wayne for all the green candy I could find. So I gathered TONS and the kids got to go through the candy shop and choose the candy they wanted. It was so much fun....needless to say there were lots of green tongues. One of my friend's sons even puked on the way home because he ate so much candy. That really wasn't my intention...I felt really badly. Oh, well! So, here are some pics from the party. I am considering hiring a photographer for future parties, it's so hard to run a party and make sure lots of pictures get taken too! Enjoy

OK Already......

Alright, alright, alright. If I heard it once this weekend, I heard it 1000 times.....I will try to keep my blog more up to date. Most of you already know that my friend Julie passed away last week. Today was her funeral and honestly, it sucked. Not so much the funeral, but the fact that that it was a funeral for a woman who was so beautiful and full of life and only 29. My friend will be greatly missed but never EVER forgotten.

After spending this weekend hearing about Julie's zest for life and her decision to have daily happiness, I have decided that I really need to take a look at my life. I want to live my life more like Julie lived hers. I am going to find the good and happiness in each day and live each day for what it is. I am going to be more honest with myself and with others. I am going to tell my friends and family that I love them more and I am going to take more pictures to capture my memories.

I finally uploaded all my pictures to my new laptop, so I will post more pictures as well. I can't promise that I will post more than once a week, but I'll try my hardest!!

I can do it.....

So I decided to take a pedometer with me to run a couple weeks ago, and wouldn't you know it. I can run a 5k. I did 5k in about 36 minutes. I am really enjoying running and everytime I go I look forward to seeing how much further and longer I can go. My body is finally used to it and I can use running to relax now too! I never thought it possible!!! I have some new pics of Ashton that I will post soon. This kid is crazy but I love every minute of it!!

Run, Chrissy, Run!!!

So my last post....2 months ago....stated that I am planning on running a 5K. Originally, I was going to participate in the Lungs for Life 5K. Now, I have decided to try to find a 5K that is specifically geared toward Breast Cancer Research since that is where my friend, Julie's, cancer orginated. So, I have been on a quest to start "training" for my undesignated 5K, and tonight FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER, I ran for 25 minutes...STRAIGHT!!! No breaks, no breathers, and no heart attacks!!! I have proven to myself that I CAN do this and I am so excited!!! So, I am going to start with the Matthew 25 (a fundraiser for the free medical and dental clinic in Fort Wayne where I volunteer) 5k and go from there. There is a Susan G. Komen 5K in Cincinnatti in September, so maybe that's what I'll shoot for!!

I am on vacation this week, and going to enjoy every minute of it. Ashton and I went to Lafayette to visit my family! Ashton had a great time with his cousins, and cried when we left. He really wanted Lucy and Charlotte to come with us. He slept the whole way home and once we got home, Ashton realized that his cousins weren't with us. He cried again!! He had a great time! We'll be going back soon!
